The Valley

It took them 6 years to build the valley thats a long time! The Egyptions belief that 'to speak of the dead would bring them to life.' When they built the valley they took their time so when the robbers wanted to rob the tombs it was very hard for them. When you were buried you had the 'Book of the Dead' with you. The biggest tomb in the valley was king Tuts tomb.

Servents of the Valley

Servants... that's only a nickname for the people who worked in the valley. They were called the 'Serevents of the Great Place' because they helped the Pharaohs achieve a good afterlife in the after world. the people who served the place lived in on city called Deir-El-Medina. The jobs of those who worked in the valley were to make tombs and decorate other tombs. I would hate to be those people but not only for that reason here is the reason I wouldn't want to work in the valley. It was very hot in the valley and if rocks fell on top of you, you're gone forever. So think about it if you would want to work there.

Astonishing Beliefs!

You want to know some crazy beliefs about the tombs in the valley. The Ancient Egyptians saw the tombs as magical places. They believed that the tombs protected the dead Pharaoh's body for the journey to the underworld. One eye-opening thing they did was buried them with clothes and fabulous golden treasures. I would love to be the Pharaoh or even his wife. Egyptians believed spirits inside the Pharaohs body could live in the after world only if their bodies were well preserve. they thought spirits needed some supplies for the after world. the tombs of the Pharaohs that were buried in the valley held the most precious and valuable things. Boy the Pharaohs were very important people!

That's one hot valley!

The valley was very good looking. The walls of the tombs are pictures and writings that tell stories of the Pharaohs and their civilizations they ruled, imagine you had a tomb that had all this stuff wouldn't it be cool! The kings were buried in the 'Hall Of Gold'. Would you like to be buried around a place with furniture, jewelry and royal clothing? Well you should have been a Pharaoh because that's what happened to Pharaohs in Ancient Egypt. I cant even imagine how hot it must have been! one gripping fact is that the queens had a valley to and guess what its called "The Valley of The Queens!" the astonishing thing is that the queens were buried in their valley with their kids only a few queens were buried with their husbands.

Structuring The Valley Of The Kings!

What the valley looked like in the inside!
How would you like it if someone took your body if you were dead? No one would like that and the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt didn't either. In Ancient Egypt tomb robbers started robbing tombs in the great pyramids (how evil of them) so the Pharaohs had to think smart so they started The Valley Of The Kings. Its not a real valley, they dug deep into a hillside to create a series of magnificent royal tombs that give the valley its name. The Pharaohs got to chose where the valley was and they chose it to be next to the city of Thebes an important religious center in southern Egypt. That's not all, sometimes people called it 'The Great Place' so people wont know what they are talking about. You would think this place is huge, but it really isn't people found 62 tombs only! But one of the greatest tomb was King Tuts tomb. The valley was a place for special people not anyone was buried there, only Pharaohs and a few government officials.
